Double-sided, laminated, waterproof and tear-resistant map covers all of Kyrgyzstan plus four trekking areas along its borders at greater detail. On one side is a good touring map of Kyrgyzstan at 1:1 000 000 and a detailed, contoured inset map of Ala-Archa at 1:125 000 (area and nature reserve just south of Bishkek). The map shows plenty of names of peaks and other topographic features.
On the reverse, three separate panels show trekking areas of: Lenin Peak at 1:100 000; Karakol at 1:100 000; and Inylchek at 1:110 000.
The trekking maps have contour lines enhanced by relief shading, plus colouring and / or graphics to indicate different types of terrain and vegetation. Trekking routes are prominently highlighted and symbols indicate locations of hotels, pensions, bivouac sites, restaurants, medical services, bus services, various places of interest etc. All the panels have latitude and longitude grid at intervals of 1'.
