How often should I use Color Care Shampoo?
For the best results, you should use Color Care Shampoo every time you wash your hair after a color service.

Why is Color Care Shampoo not purple?
Color Care Shampoo is not purple because it was specifically formulated to help address universal factors (i.e. color washout, damage, UV, hard water) that cause color fading. The shampoo is not purple because it would be contradictive to the specially formulated whips that contain optimized blue and red dye components designed for specific hair color tones.

Is a leave-in product more effective at depositing dye?
When using similar chemistry temporary dyes leave-in applications will be more efficient at depositing dyes.

What is the fragrance?
All of our products have a light, fresh, citrusy fragrance.

How is Color Care Shampoo different from other Living Proof shampoos?
Color Care Shampoo has multiple differences compared to other LP shampoos including:

How is Color Care Shampoo different than other shampoos specifically designed for color-treated hair?
Color Care Shampoo was formulated without silicones which are typically used in color care shampoos. Additionally, it is sulfate-free and includes other ingredients that provide benefits for color-treated hair these ingredients include a new cationic UV filter, chelating agent that targets metals know to effect color and esters/film formers to replenish damaged hydrophobic layer.

What is the fragrance in Color Care Shampoo?
It is the same fragrance used in other Living Proof shampoos, a light scent with citrus-based notes.

Why is a UV filter important in a rinse off product like Color Care Shampoo, what is it doing?
UV filter in Color Care Shampoo is positively charged so it’s substantive to hair and limits wash-off. The UV filter reduces the creation of free-radicals that can lead to damaging effects on hair and color.
